0 Videos nominated Video Of the Month(s): 0 | | Our new super-hero. Introducing... "SoundMan"
Not really sure where this should go. You could justify it being a pimp the link if you tried or maybe as it's sound related....
Anyway, based on an article I found, following a conversation at Videforum this week I built an extending boom pole from an angler's landing net pole and saved myself over Ģ100 (UKP) by my reckoning so I'm well chuffed.
So, in case it's on interest to anyone else.... http://www.alandmills.co.uk/Boom/SoundMan.htm

Top marks Mr Mills. I wondered if you would follow up that idea. Looks really good. Well done that man.

I do want to doubly emphasise though that it's not my design at all, just my 'interpretation' of a design I found on the interweb thingy.
The 'trick' tothe entire thing is to get that double threaded bolt from somewhere. I opted for a local engineering firm. If I searched around for a few weeks Imight have found one in a DIY shop somewhere but that just wouldn't have been cost (or time) effective.
They probably thought they were ripping me off, charging me a tenner for it. More fool them I say
