Default Been having fun doing live broadcast

At my highschool, we have it all rigged for multimedia production. We have BNC lines all through the building, and for the last few sporting events (wrestling, basketball, girls basketball) we have broadcasted live here in town. Its pretty fun. I run the switchboard (panasonic WJ-MX 20) and we have another kid running the titler. Live broadcasts are fun, except when things go wrong. Just like yesterday, we have 4 canon xl2's and use those as our broadcast equipment, and somebody tripped over the coards and broke one (5000 dollar mistake). Anybody got any advice to make it look even better.

yeah, we broadcasted it in my town (2500 to 3000 people) and most likely had alot of viewers (considering we advertised it forever)
