I have digital footage on mini-DV which has been taken on the wrong filter setting (5600K) and has resulted in a yellow tint!!!
Are there any good tips to restore to original colours and also improve brightness/contrast.
I know some of the nle softwares have built in colour correction but is there dedicated software which deals with colour correction and white balance settings.
Any help/tips will be appreciated.
Regards.
Irfan

I've heard that colour correction in Vegas 4 is second to none (apart from Avid). As with many video editing apps, theres a free trial at the site. I'm not aware of any app tailor made for colour correction, but I've no doubt one exists. I'll have a look out for one!

Combustion 2 has an awesome set of colour correction tools but is pricey. It comes with tutorials that will show you how to correct wronly balanced footage. Other than that you might try the tools within premier pro which seem pretty well featured.
