Alas, you'd still be shy by £18k.
No matter how much you spend on software, it's how you use it that counts. Just as driving an expensive car doesn't make you a good driver, buying expensive software doesn't provide you with instant artistic flair. They're just tools for a job, and I've seen many a fabalicious video shot using the equivalent of a family saloon budget.
The first question of most new editors is "what do you use to...", implying that the software used played a big part in creating the video. I've always been of the impression that it's the artistic talents of the editor that make a video stand out from the crowd.
