I saw that myself a few days ago. As I couldn't find a download option without it, I simply didn't watch the video that required the update. It may be that the download includes Itunes, but has the option to not install it.
Quicktime Alternative was updated a few days ago: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/...lternative.htm |

You finally noticed too? I upgraded to QuickTime 7 and ta-daaaa... for the a couple of days iTunes kept messing around with all my system settings regarding multimedia (file type associations, media library etc.) so I uninstalled QuickTime and I'll never use it again, so help me God!

Agree with all of the above but it only takes a couple of seconds to uninstall iTunes once you've upgraded. In fact it feels quite good pressing the remove button.

Absolutrly. Only problem is that it probably adds a wwhole bunch of registry entries and gawd knows what else that is left after the uninstall. I'd like to see the opion of NOT iinstalling in the first place.

I know (it's annoying) but I'm turning a truly British stiff upper lip to the whole thing and I'm going to pretend I don't care. (JT runs away ready to kick the cat but scared to do so in case he upsets Jo in the user videos forum) |

I dont see the problem. I use both regularly. Quicktime is the best mpeg2 encoder I've ever used and itunes is the best way to search for all my library music. but then that's me.
