| |  Magic Bullet Editors 2
As some of you may know, I've just invested in a dedictated machine for video editing. It's pretty darn fast (the windows progress bar gets halfway on boot before loading), so I was alarmed at how poorly Magic Bullet was rendering: 40 mins for a 3 minute video with Twixtor and colour correction applied on a few clips.
So I figured $99 for the promise of real time previews with the upgrade to MB2 was worth it. even if it was just a bit quicker. The same timeline took 2 mins to render. Fanbloodytastic. Expect a full review to follow soon.

Holy Moley, that's quick! V2 does high def as well doesn't it? Was this test render SD?

JEEZUZ! Im going to have to have a look at that, that makes a HUGE difference, I often choose not to use MB effects due to rendering time, hopefully thisll help!

Hey Marc, it's been quite a while since I came over here to see what's going on, your board looks fantastic. You just caught me with this post however since I'm in post right now with a wedding and MB is about 2 hours for 17 minutes of the ceremony and I've not even started to render out the pre-events, reception etc. So with that, what did you get, MoBo and Memory and everything, please let me know, 2 minutes from 40 is outrageous!

Subsequent renders have confirmed it's a HELL of a lot quicker. I've been having difficulties with my graphics card drivers and the realtime render is a t the monent locking up my system. But rendering the timeline before playback is about 1:1.

Actually I'm curious to know what system did you end up putting together, it's that time of year when I can get a nice new toy and my 2.8gHT system INHO doesn't cut it anymore and it's only about 18 months old. I'm looking at one of the new dual core chips or dual xeon and actually considering Dell rather than homebrew this time.

very nice setup you have there
After christmas i am hoping to get 2 x P4 3.4GHz xeon and run them together in dual mode that should give some nice speed with about 3GB of ram.
