| | What's your latest purchase?
I've just taken delivery of my nice shiny new Rode Videomic
and can't wait to test it out.
Millsy has his (far more impressive) Smooth Shooter, but what have you bought recently?
Here's your chance to boast about how much you've spent (or maybe how much you didn't spend!) on your latest gadget or software bargain.

I spent £10 on a cheap microphone and mount to put on my camcorder.
Do I win £5?

Actually, I did buy a Mac Mini for my office, which I am planning on having a fiddle with editing wise to see how it performs |

Let me see. Just added two hard drives to my new rig (2 x WD3200JD for scratch disks), and treated myself to a new keyboard and laser mouse for the rig too.
Was thinking about getting a HDR HC1E and selling the XL2 now I'm not shooting the weddings, but have decided to hang on to the XL2 and make sure I go out and have some fun with it |

It does seem to be, But I'm still getting a little 'Hand on camera' noise, even with the anti-shock mount. Still not bad for less than a hundred quid though. Going to give it a proper rooad test at tomorrows gig in Crewe. Results on Monday or Tueday depending on my sleep deprivation.

I'm waiting for the delivery of
Fujitsu Siemens P4 3.6GHz
1024MB Memory
2 X 250GB HDD
ATI Radeon X700 PCIe 256MB
19” TFT Flat Panel
DVD and DVD RW
Speakers + Sub Woofer
Got it through a company scheme for about 40% of the shop price.
Also, just bought Premiere Elements 2 bundled with Photoshop Elements 4 for £70 (after the £20 rebate) and I reckon that's a great deal.
