My monitor speakers were these huge jamo's and they were just the wrong thing and took up too much space, and not cool.

Today i got spme cute and cheap JBL control ones. Tried 'em out, whacked them up loud, gave them a good spanking... and my old marantz amp blew up.

So I immediatly went and got a Cambridge Audio A5 amp too.

All works very well. The JBLs are very detailed, great for a monitor, but bass? Forget it... no worries there cos I had this subwoofer in the attic that works with them very well.

Very happy, oh and I got all 4 of my misbehaving monitors to wk today so i am back in editing heaven again.

Wink Adobe Production Studio

Just installed Adobe Production Studio – all 14Gb of it! It looks impressive, and it’s shrewd of Adobe to combine apps into an interactive set. ‘Bridge’ and ‘Dynamic Link’ are useful tools, making the editing, compositing, audio and DVD aspects all reachable within one family. It’s one method of encouraging users to stick with one brand.

I hope Adobe do well out of it, they’ve long felt out in the cold with professional users. Anyhow, it’s induced me to study hard to improve. Kept hitting a block with AfterFX, but this Pro version should be fun. Quite surprised at the amount of training available on the website.

Default Archos 500

Well, not mine but Beccys's.

Cool gadget, all the more so for me cos it has an analogue video in so now I can try some bullet cam filming (when i buy a bullet cam).

It also records wav files through a line in.
