Sony ecm 50 levallier mic, 50 quid on e bay, it rocks, get one I say. Gives a really intimate sound to voice that really lifts a video. Now I want portable radio gear to do those oh so cool far away close mic shots.

Picked myself a steady tracker from eBay for sixty quid. Quite impressed at that price. If I had paid $199 I would have been dissapointed. Made a few changes to it in typical TM style. And nicked a few design ideas for my own upcoming Raptor. (Sometime in 07 at this rate)

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums. I've just bought a Canon XL1S so you may see me quite a bit asking "how do you do this?" go easy on me as I'm not a camera operator (fairly competant in the use of Vegas though)_and I'm still trying to get my head around Interlace Deinterlace and crap like that.

lets see:
a battery for my Primary DV camera, tapes...
and this to use as a helmet camera, and to take on more adventurous Rides (Dh mountian biking). where my Other camera might not survive: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applicatio...224936&CatId=0
ITs not very good, but its small enough to be mounted to a helmet, and cheep enough that when i crash and it gets smashed into 1 Billion pieces, i'm not freaking out.
And it will do 30fps@ 320x 240.
i'm only gonna use it for clips in conjunction with my regular camcorder
set up on a tri pod getting the pther shots.

Hahnel Compact VL20 video light. 20W power, works for about 20 minutes. But the battery takes 10 to 12 hours to charge...
Just opened the box, will charge the battery tonight and then maybe post a review
P.S. Man this is bulky. Makes my tiny camcorder look like Frankenstein.
