Default New reviews section

I thought it was just about time to officially launch the new "news and reviews" section of The Digital Director Video Forums...

http://www.videoforums.co.uk/reviews/

Enjoy all the latest new and reviews! I've been busy converting all the old articles to the new format, and have 20 or so left to convert.

You can also log in using your forum username and password to post news and articles (subject to approval before publishing).

Most of it's the old content with a fresh lick of paint

As I'm a newcomer to the forum it's all fresh to me so a big thumbs up. Nice and neat having everything in one place. Are you planning to put a link to the review section from the front page? I can't see one but then again I've had a few beers after work.

Sorry, yes it's great, very comprehensive and uncluttered.

I like your revamp, had to spend a bit of time reading it all. When it comes to learning from the written word, I consider myself a grade ‘A’ thicko, so I usually blame the writer. But I can’t do that here, because it’s evenly spaced out and well presented. You must’ve spent a while on it; this adds a great touch to your website.

Also, you haven’t fallen into the trap that many sites do -- when trying to simplify things, they end up making it more difficult to navigate. This is a common design fault now with magazine layout as well. I call it the ‘shit/puke/vomit’ principle when each page makes me want to weep, instead of drawing my eye onto something.

Nice effort, Marc.
