Introduce yourself - the meet and greet

Hello my name is Tony. I am not here as an editor or video editing enthusiast but more on a personal level. i need help with a project that i have started. Hopefully someone will be interested in a joint venture? Im not sure where to post my request so i will put the short of it here and hope someone bites or can guide me to the appropriate forum link.

I am a musican with 2 song i would like to put forward to someone who would be interested in making two 4/5 minute movies around the subject matter of my songs. i am spiritual by nature and my music focuses around some spiritual aspects. What i would ultimatly relish is someone who can edit photographic images from the net and put them together in some intelligable way to coincide with my music. The aim really is to puit the final product on my myspace page and probably youtube plus other accsessible sites.

Hi,

I am totally new to video. I bought a Sony Handycam (DCR-SR35) to film my baby boy! So far have shot 18 videos, but no idea what to do now. I have experience with building websites, photography, but my skills and knowledge of video is next to none.

I am here to learn:

1. How to put my films online, using my own domain, not YouTube.
2. How to edit video etc.
3. Also, anything else, such as formats, anything really. I am such a noob I don't even know what I don't know!

Already asked one question regarding building websites. Not sure if that question is visible via my profile? hmm...

Anyhow, time for bed (I am in the UK) so hopefully will hear from you guys tomorrow.

Hi all I am in Ottawa Canada. Been playing with Photoshop a few years. My son is a budding rock musician with film engineering training. His new music was all produced, composed, all parts and engineered by himelsf in his studio using Pro Tools professional. i decided to try to add somevideo. That was about 3 weeks ago using Windows Movie maker. A "Nerd" Told me about sony Vegas Movie maker...some 10 or so YouTube - Broadcast Yourself. videos later I realize there is much to learn but manysources.
check out Greg Pilon, Bobcat Gray Blue and She are the latest ones I loaded. Any comments welcome and if you like them of coruse drop alineon the you tube page as it looks more positive for his music

I'm from Germany. Im currently taking up an immersion film course at the International Academy of Film and Television. What took me all the way to cebu was my genuine interest in filmmaking and since i visited the city in the summer of 2004, I've always wanted to get back for a longer stay. The training here is completely hands we work on professional sound stages, use state-of-the art High Definition filmmaking equipment, and make really tough creative and technical decisions. We basically eat, breathe and sleep filmmaking. Here are some snapshots of our sessions.

Hi I'm james, I'm only 16, but I'm still absolutely mad about filming/editing.
At the moment, I'm just doing it on a personal level with my friend, making short videos. But I've signed up for Film Studies at college, and hopfully will carry it on at university.
After that, my ultimate goal would be to end up working in the film industry...so I'll just have to wait and see!
