Hi all,

I'm a graphic designer and found my passion of filming and editing begining of the year while at the Kruger National Park in South Africa.

Most of us have our passion on what do film and to me there isn't anything better than filming african wild life and hope to capture an amazing event.

I'm not to sure on where to ask this question, but how do you fit a 30min avi film onto a DVD disk, I've tried converting to mpg but I lose the quality. Is there a software to compress and still keep the same quality.

Hi and welcome to this friendly forum. I'd love to be filming in Africa and envy any projects you may have had on locations there.
A simple answer to AVI to DVD? Drag and drop the file into your DVD burner software. Providing thie file is smaller than 3.7Gb, there will be no problems. If too big, split into 2 discs.

Hi,

I'm new here. I work for AC Ryan a brand known in the modding (casemodding) scene for its cool products under its ProModding line. Since late last year, a new "wing" has been added ProData for data hardware accessories. Which brings me to this forum.

Part of my job is to be in the community where our users hangout. The company believes in being in the community, with the community. Something that has worked out very well in the modding community.

So what do I do? I organise contests, sponsor community events, hmmm and what else? er... talk? post and read up. Well I guess getting a feel of the community is important too.

In terms of video editing, I'm a newbie. There's enough for me to learn here and I hope I'll upload a video soon. See you guys around.

Alex

Welcome to the forum that you should actually be welcoming me to, considering you have probably been here longer than me!

I am Anthony, You may know me hidden behind such screen names as Bullet With Butterfly and some others that are all twisted and morbid.

I am an Animator and Video game Designer, but recently I've been getting into the magic of 'real life filming'.
My constantly changing (not copyrighted might I add) company names don't help for publicity of Products.
Luckily I'm actually trying to decide on a permanent name though.
all the english names are taken so I've been using a lot of Slavic and Latin names.
Slavic is cool, I don't know why no one has ever thought of it before.

also I don't have an insane obsession with Alice in wonderland,
Alice In chains was a band.
(well duh)
That and the Madhatter is just cool, and deserves to be an avatar.

anyway seeing as I know no one will respond to this,
WELCOME TO THE FORUM!!! (jerk =P)

HI!

My name is Lengo. That's short for Len Goforth. I'm a computer nerd. I was an electronics engineer.

I have disabled for over ten years now. That's both unfortunate, and fortunate. Thatnks to this, I have plenty of time for my passions -- mostly computer games.

I'm totally new to video making, but quite adept with computers. I've even been a programmer, and I've published two titles. But that was long ago. Programming is too taxing for my little brain now. I just fool around with games and other software, including Photoshop, Excel, and lots of different things. Now it's video making. Eeeps!

Anyways, I build my own puters. I have only one. It's lean and mean, and quite a good rig. But, it was built on a very tight budget (Social Security benefits blow), but nevertheless is very powerful. It does everything but do my housework!

Since I have no money, and since I'm into gaming, FRaps is my video cam.

Nice meeting you! El gusto es mio!

Hello everyone,
Just found the forum and I'm hoping to find some tips on videoing real estate. Any suggestions will be welcome. My wife and I do a lot of real estate photos and plan on the videos and photos complementing each other. We are in the processes of determining what video camera and software to use. So please offer your advice.
