*new to the forums* video editing careers?

Ive recently gotten interested in video editing, and have been using an emac to make my first videos. Ive had a lot of fun doing it and would possibly like to pursue a career in this field. Ive been using a little canon mini dv camera and love editing, and seeing the final output. Well my question here is, is there a deman, or possibility in a video editing carrer? I was thinking the last couple of days and thought about where all there used, music vids, new channels, documentaries etc.. I was wondering how the pay was, and if theres any demand for this field.

I would say go pm or e-mail some of the bigger names on the forum and go to forums like the Apple discussions and so on to and talk to them one on one
