Marc:
As you all know I work full time at a Church and one of my responsibilities is running and coordinating the activities in the Church. I was wondering why in the world they only let you in 30 min before hand?. I typically open the church up 2 hours before the wedding starts for the Bride and Bridesmaids to get ready. Then about an hour before wedding, photo shoot begins. 30 minutes really cuts down on your time and anyone else involved in getting things ready and in place. OUCH!!!
Do you all use any audio or video/photo presentations during weddings? I produce picture shows using ProShow Gold (
http://www.photodex.com) YES ANOTHER PLUG SORRY!

For when the bride is given away by the father we then show on screen for about 3 to 5 minutes with music a montage of the couple growing up and them together with the last shot of their engagement photo. People love this and I am doing quite a few these days with very little effort on my part. Extra money is always nice.
I would guess it would have to depend on the location and what type of church correct? In the older more traditional churches they obviously do not have rear view screens and projection systems about.
Noticed in one of the posts on a different thread that you have to have some type of license to shoot in English Churches? WOW! We do not check anything in regards to this as that is something between the Wedding Party and the Photographer/Videographer. We do ask that the photographer and videographer respect the day and the wedding taking place and not to be moving around all over the stage and sanctuary. We do not even allow flash photography during the ceremony at all. Only after all is done do we allow those types of shots.
Very interesting how we are so different. Is this normal or just certain churches requiring this information?
