Should you buy a matrox RT.X100?

A few threads on this recently with both positive and negative comments in. One tought has occured to me that doesn't quite fit into any of them naturally so I'll post it here.

If you're deciding on this card then answer yourself this question. Will I want to edit HDV footage? If the answer is yes then do NOT buy the Matrox card. It will not cope with high def at all. Only SD I'm afraid.

This might help some of you decide so though I'd throw it into the pot.
