Just wondered who saw the 2004 silly version on Beeb 2 the other night.
An EXCELLENT demonstration of editing.
George Bush singing New York, New York was the funniest thing I have seen for ages.

Missed it, but Victor Lewis-Smith regarded it as "all-too-rare comedic excellence." If you're not familiar with VLS, he writes in Private Eye, as well as London's Evening Standard. A programmer himself, he delights in trashing pretentious TV with brilliant 'insider' journalism. A bouquet from him is praise indeed.
It was originally shown over the New Year on BBC3. They reckon it took months to complete.

You will surely get another chance. I only caught the last 20 mins, but it`s a BBC 3 effort, so it`s bound to get repeated to death.
When I see it on my sky planner, I`ll post a note here to let you know.

yeah, armando iannucci is god. This was one of the funniest things i've seen in ages. OI! TITCHMARSH!
the editing of bush though, that's been done before. There are some flash movies about doing the same.
