Nevermind mate. It happens to us all. Hopefully it wasn't too expensive. You are right that some of the posts are two years old but I saw one from Sep 2003 and also some from this year.

Btw, the Bcrabtree post asking for recent experiences is actually the editor of the CVE magazine. This is because for a period of time I believe Videoaction Pro were banned from advertising there.

Infact it;s just a whole day of frustrations for me! Just found out that new subscribers to wanadoo get 1MB for the same price as my 512k!!! (I have to pay £30 for the privelidge and the service is capped to 30GB of downloads per month).

Jeesh.

Marc: if you're on the same deal I'm on, you can pay a one-off £20 fee and upgrade to the 1MB service. Liker you, I was on the 512K service when they announced their new tariffs.

No interruption to service in our case... The biggest interruption to our service is my son playing Unreal Tournament online.

3-5 minutes into a telephone call with wanadoo to upgrade my account:

them: bear with me a second, I think our systems are down

me: no problem

them: sorry sir, our systems are down. Can you call back in a few days?

me: er, can you not take a note that I want to upgrade and process it when your systems are back up?

them: no

me: how do I cancel my account with you?

I've not had any trouble at all with wanadoo, but since i subscribed to their broadband about 6 months ago, a plethora of better deals have squirted their way into the public. So I shall remove the shackles and bog right off when that ends, and make it make more sense financially.

Woof.
