Default Capturing PAL footage in NTSC world

Hi!

I'm currently in North America, I have shot a doc in Asia in PAL DVCAM format. Just discovered I cannot capture the DVCAM timecode properly through my consumer mini DV camcorder so I need to rent a deck to do this. The option of renting a professional DSR1800 (or 80?) will cost me a lot of money. The DSR11 or DSR25 would be a cheaper option but I hear that these machines do not recreate the PAL timecode entirely correctly. Can anyone advise me on this?

Thanks in advance!
Mazza
