| | Article Time!
It's just about that time of the month when I should be writing articles for marcpeters.co.uk
Feel free to suggest anything for me to rant on about. My ideas are:
1) Towards a film look (thank you to the person who posted this question recently)
2) What is Hight Definition Video? (interesting thread on this!)
3) What is Widescreen? (loads of threads about this!)
Essentially, marcpeters.co.uk can be a place to point people when they ask a FAQ. So if you have an article I should write, then drop me an email or reply to this thread.
Cheers,
Marc

I'd definitely like to see the hi-def one, covering actually shooting stuff for hi-def, apps that will support it, broadcasting of hi-def, and playback equipment that will support it.

I'll do a little research and see what I can come up with. I'll run it past you guys first to make sure I don't spread nasty half truths.

Yeah, I'd like to know more because a few people ask me about it and i, kida, dont know the full story. Therefore, if it's here I can either
- point them to this site
or
- read the article and pretend i've researched it

Then I shall surreptitiously google tommorow for pdfs and press releases, fire off a few emails (you never know I might get a complimentary HDTV) and generaly submerge myself into everything HDV.

the problem is, do you go for plasma or rptv? Plasma's cooler looking, and doesn't take up half your living room. RP's far cheaper, but has even worse viewing angle problems than plasma, and don't try and use it with the light on/curtains open... There's always a projector, i guess. Bad for lighting again though.
there's the different resolutions, satellite, cable, the windows media/terminator 2 thing, the xbox outputting HD thing, there's a hell of a lot to research.
If you need any help gimme a holler.

In a former life, I was a world expert (kinda sorta) on rear projection TVs and projectors - so if you think I can help there, holler! (I write occasionally for an audiovisual magazine...)
