We have no specific forum for mac users, but this falls into the 'general software' forum. And if it's not software related, video editing's the same for PC and mac users alike.

Where would it all end?

First the Mac users section, then the linux users will want to play ( bless em ), next windows militants will want a XP section.

Beneath the marketing hype and prejudice macs are PCs now. Your choice of OS may limit what editing apps you have access to but with WineHQ - Run Windows applications on Linux, BSD and Mac OS X , bootcamp and clever stuff like How to Install Mac OS X 10 3 (Panther) on Your Windows PC - wikiHow you can run any app on any os woth a bit of fiddling.

That is how things should be clearly but sadly the decisions of mac marketing ( protectionist ) means that a bit of sweat is needed. It annoyes me that mac shut down the nearly finished windows version of FCP when mac purchased the company that was initially developing the product. I suspect windows/ msoft do the same but as windows user i guess I just havent noticed.

Also - I fear the tribe of Mac - just look at Digg..... Lols.

And anyway - vegas is the best editor, isn it ??? ( stir stir )

Speaking as a member of the dirty Mac brigade who is slowly coming to terms with FCP I think it's nice that there is no "Mac only" section. I must confess that mac owners can get a bit anal and it often degenerates into a "Mac's are better!" "No! PCs rule!" throwing toys out of the pram debate. Anything which reinfoces the truth that neither is better per se should be adhered to. In other words we're welcome to use this forum, even if we have a Mac.

Specific Final Cut questions can be posted in the 'general software' forum and anything else, applies to editing generally. Oh, Marc P already said that!

...and incidentally Premiere Pro is definitely THE best editting program.

TBH I cant recall the last FCP question that we had posted.

FCPers are generally found on the more er spoddy film forums - no offence to FCPers.

Careful, Mark. Comments like that will lead to comments like

"Well, what do you expect? Macs are so fantastic and everything is so obvious you never need to ask a question."

Hoho - perhaps many users are too perfect to ask ? Not the maccies here - I mean the weird ones - not the normal well adjusted ones like fingercuff - hmmmm.

Well adjusted? Have you seen Daddy Bunchee!

For the record even though I am a MAC man I have a lot of love for PC's as well.
