pinnacle studio 11 ultimate burning hd discs

can anyone help me please, i'm using pinnacle studio 11 ultimate and i am trying to burn an hd video project onto a 4.7gb disc. in make movie section i am selecting hd dvd but when it burns my xbox 360 or dvd player wont play the disc.both hd compatible on my hd television.
when i burn as a dvd there is no problem and the disc works fine, can anyone help me please...

I think this option is to create HD DVDs that play back on an HD DVD player or XBox 360 HD DVD drive (the external drive), not standard DVD drives. I've created a couple of discs this way and they play back fine on my HD DVD player but not on a normal DVD player.

The DVD format does not support resolutions greater than 720x576. You can put higher resolution files on a recordable DVD but they will only be readable in a PC drive as a video file, not as a DVD.
