| | General Question about the Forum - Reputation Just spotted little green blobs next to posters' names. Hover mouse and "xxx is on a distinguished road". Mine just says my name. Dig further and I believe this is "reputation". But I can't find anything about reputation in the FAQ.
So my question is "how is reputation established?" I see newbies appear to get the "on a distinguished road" rep as do people I consider to be very helpful/knowledgeable. But I'm a boring grey - presumably with a worse rep than a newbie, though I'm not aware I've wound anyone up.

| | Real new to video Being real new to video I am happy just being included. This site is really designed for people doing real work with their video editing. But they do try to be helpful with even us real new to video people. |

| | When someone helps you, if you click on the scales icon, you can add to that members reputation. Sadly, not too many people bother with it. |

As stated earlier, I couldn't even find reference to it in the FAQ Thanks for the info Andy. Your scales have been duly clicked. Now all I need to do is remember to do the same to all the other helpful folk around here.
