mpeg4 development and...

hi all,
i want to know about mpeg4-part 2.
have they stopped it's development ?
and if we're comparing it with mpeg4-part 10, mpeg4-part 2 wins nothing, am i right ? or mpeg4-part 2 has some advantages/cons which mpeg4-part 10 hasn't ?
