Default Date stamp automatically added to captured video

Hi everyone,

I am a very new user of video editing software and have had some troubles trying to find a way to automatically import video with the date stamp on the captured video. I have had to manually put the date on and considering I have around twenty 60 minute tapes that I need to capture, doing this is extremely time consuming. I'm sure there is an easier way but I'm not sure what it is. Can anyone help me by telling me what software I may need (currently using Adobe Premier) and how I can do this using that software. I also have a similar problem with digital still photo's from my digital still camera if anyone can help me with this one as well.

Thanks heaps.
