Default 40" LCD Monitors

I've been looking for a large screen to compliment a Home Cinema set up. I also want a higher resolution than 1366 x 768 - for one I'm planning to use it for video editing and that res doesn't give you enough retail space, and I also want to future proof (1080p).

There's nothing out there for less that £7k! Looks like I'll be making for a while yet as I'm simply not prepared to pay a couple of grand on a screen that'll be unfit for use...

Looks like these are the current options

Samsung LE40F71BX
Sony KDL40W2000U
Sharp LC46XD1E

All have 1920x1080 resolutions, which is provides sufficient space for a reasonable video editing display.

Give me your address and I'll pop one* in the post.

*may not be a 40" widescreen monitor.

Very nice - what i dream off is a tft with a res of 3200 x 2400 to replace my 4 antique crts that all run at 1600 x 1200.

I like a big desk top but if you want it big with tfts there is no cheap soloution - 1600 x 1200 tfts are still well pricey.
