Default unsure where to start

hi

i have some vhs video footage and i want to get this in the computer as either avi or mpeg1 or something. then i will be able to edit it and add it to some footage i have.

how do i go about doing this, what do i need to connect the video to the pc to get this footage off????????

You will need an analogue-to-digital converter for this process. Search these forums for plenty of discussions.

i would suggest a TV card.. you should be able to connect your VCR in to that and record direct to you PC. you can also use it to record eastenders
