The answer is ONE!

To be barely adequate all you need is to be able to....

1) capture footage.
2) import it into your editor
3) apply a simple cut
4) export results with default settings to a DVD

job done!

The above will get you going. However, the above can be called 'editting' in the same way a fat block can run 100 metres in 20 seconds and might call himself a 'sprinter'. Technically correct yet we all know it's bollox!
