I agree with ( The Guru ) ..

As he said " What did you actually do?! ".. but u were rough in ur display .. u must know that u r talking with a beginner .. He spent hours and hours to make this video .. but the reaction was " disappointing " .. I understand n5 feeling ..

The idea is amazing ( as a muslim ) .. The music and the video was harmonic ..
ur editing is limited ..

Go forward ..

notice : I think that the content of the video effected the rating ..

I found nothnig offensive in the part I watched - on the contrary it was informative in a shouty sort of a way.

If there is offensive stuff to come I will watch the second part, I kind of enjoy video that walks or crosees the lines of what is and isnt 'right'.

No comment was made on the content of the video other than ones of artistic or tehcnical merit. Please don't imply there to be any kind of nationalistic, rational or ethnic bias to the critique, as this demonstrates a fundamental misunderstanding of the ethos of these forums. If you guys want a debate on geopolitics and religion, I suggest that you post within a suitable forum such as Politics & Religion Forum

To clarify, these forums' intended purpose is to educate its members on all aspects of the film making process. Whilst i concede that there is a branch of documentary film making that frequently touches on the controversial, these forums are not the place to discuss such matters and any critique of such films will always be based on an a assumed neutral politcial stance. This enables us to concentrate on the reason for you posting: to provide a critical assessment of your work with a view to enhancing your video.

To re-iterate, no comments have been made on your intended political message other than to comment on the way in which this has been delivered.

Default To the N-5 Division

I think that this video is a great piece of art. Everybody here, excpet the honest adminstrator, is giving harsh judjements so that they show that they know lots of things about film editing. The N-5, as he said kept working for a whole week which something not very easy. And you must know that this may be there first edited video, so they are not as professional as you claim you are. It is such a great job and go on. Long lives the N-5 ....

I assure you those you speak of as 'harsh' are expirienced or professional film makers who enjoy helping out other film mkers.

A week to make a film is nothing - many of mine take longer - and still get criticised. Thats how you learn.

You really do not need to tell us of the work involved in editing - we know !

Please respect the reason for the OPs post - criticism, and respect us as we try to do so.

Thanks.

I don't see much point in continuing this thread. The OP would do well to take note of the advice provided (for free) by Mark W and The Guru - both experienced by profession or as a hobby.
