Hello!
I kindly ask you for help in my trouble... When I render video edited in Adobe Premiere (the same in After Effects or Pinnacle Studio) I got serious decrease in smoothness (probably lower FPS).
No matter what source video I use for editing - I used 1080p video (m2ts file) with 25 frames/sec, I also used 720p video captured from tape, also 25 frames/sec. As a source video it plays smoothly, but after rendering it becomes much less smooth.
I also tried many rendering settings - MPEG, AVI, h.264 - the same effect in every case. Once I rendered my video as 50 frames/sec - then it was as smooth as source video! But this is not a good solution, when DVD and Youtube limit unables to use 50 frames/sec.

I will be really grateful for any advices!
Greetings!

My desktop died so I'm replacing it but need to carry on using the old video kit and software:
Canon MV630i (mini DV) camcorder with Premiere Pro 1.5, Audition 1.5 and Encore 1.5.
Video capture was done with a Matrox RT.X10 card.
I know, I know - it's all old stuff but I can't afford to upgrade the computer and the kit. :ohwell:

I'm looking at Core i5, 8Gb RAM and two 500Gb SATA hard discs.

Will my old Adobe software run under Windows 7?
Is the Matrox card any use now?
Recommendations?
Thanks.

Hey, guys ! I'm very keen to learn video-editing but I can't seem to find a suitable video editor. I mainly try to make funny internet skits and then post them on YouTube. I started off with WIndows Live Movie Maker but now I think that I've got the hang of it and I feel I need to jazz up my videos a little more. Windows Live Movie Maker has very basic video FX and transitions and I want a little bit more. So, I tried using Sony Vegas Pro 12 but I found it really daunting and intimidating. So, I need your help. Can you guys please suggest a video editor to me which is high on video FX and transitions and all that stuff yet is simple and straight-forward to use without a steep learning curve? Kind of similar to Windows Live Movie Maker's simplicity? I'd really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance ! :)

Hi,

I have the following requirements:-

1)I want to split bigger AVI files into random small clips for editing

purposes.

2)I want to convert all the random small clips into MOV files for editing in

FCP

which is the best freeware/PAid software which performs this task ,I am

looking at two main things:-

1)is there is S/W which performs both tasks in one step?I should be able to

split a random clip and convert it into MOV in same step.

2)Batch processing also?

I tried ALLOK VIdeo splitter but it doesnt have MOV as an output option,I also

tried FORMAT FACTORY but it is extremely slow,it takes around 20 mins for 30

sec clip splitting

Please guide regarding some alternative best options.

Looking foward for guidance from experts.

Hi. Im new to the forum nice to meet you guys. Hope i could get some help with my video editing projects.

I'm in the prossess of making a skyrim video to a song that will be played in a concert.

And iv decided that i really want to impress. Take it to the next level.

Im a skyrim graphical enthusiast so with my 2 GTX Titans in sli my skyrim looks increadible.
Im running the game in nvidia surround and I also want my product to be shown in nsurround. Thats 5760x1080 pixels. Using 3 powerfull projectors connected to my pc in nvidia surround.

After many houres of testing i was finally able to record a hige quality 5760x1080 clip. The codec i used is Lagarith Lossless.
Now my major problem is that nither Adobe premier cs 6 or Vegas can export files larger than the new 4k tv format. And frankly i think that sucks. Now that we have the gaming resolution 5760x1080 its about time video editing software kept up aswell.

So what do i do?

I have a few solutions but it requires software i havent been able to find.
Is there a software that can take 3x1080p Avi clips and merge theme back into a singel 5760x1080 clip?

I'm short on time aswell, so i got to get this working somehow.
I dont want to go down to 3860x768 as its looks terrible.

Thanks a lot for all the help.

I've tried several software but I can't find the right one, so hopefully someone can help me. I currently use solveigmm video splitter because its the one that comes closest to what I need. The problem with solveigmm video splitter is that it slows down drastically when I set the markers to splitt the video. I am splitting videos to very small parts mostly under 1 minute. I cut every camera change to be able to mix the scenes differently afterwards. With solveigmm video splitter its possible to do that kinda exact but it dosnt always place the marker where I want it, even though I placed it on the exact frame. It places it like 5 to 20 frames wrong, even 1 frame shows in the split, so I always have to adjust the markers. With the slowdown of the software it's torture, something that would take like 1 hour of work becomes 4 hours of work. I'm mostly splitting mkv and sometimes avi, I dont really want to convert to raw, only if there is no other option. Whai I need is a software that uses multicore cpu so it dosn't slow down and can split mkv/avi, best with autosplitting function whenever the camera changes. A few months ago there was what looked like an VERY useful article about using different colour compression methods, which I glanced at and meant to return to, but now can't find. They don't put everything in their description of back issues (I THINK it was mac format).. If any one remembers or has that article (it was anywhere from xmas 2012 to mar 2013) could they put it or the info up here??

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and have a question for anyone familiar with AVS Video Editor (or just generally answers to questions about software suddenly deciding to hate my computer). Basically, I use AVS Video Editor just to multi trim my videos. I've been using it for months, and all of a sudden out of nowhere, I used it a couple days ago on a new video (two new videos actually) and the multi trim feature is stalling. This happens when I use the multi trim window, and when I use playback. Basically towards the end of each snippet (scene), the audio stalls, as does the video, for a split second... if I trim it further, it happens again. Basically the playback isn't smooth, and I can't edit or play the video without it all sounding distorted and the video freezing. Literally this happened out of nowhere, I haven't suddenly filled up my computer or anything so it doesn't seem to be running slowly. So here's what I've done: Deleted the software and uninstalled it, then reinstalled it to no use. I've uninstalled it and changed software, and it even happens on alternative software!!! Very bizarre. Because of that I'm thinking that it's maybe not just to do with AVS video editor but my computer not processing these short multi-trims quick enough... blah blah, no idea what's going on, any help MUCH appreciated. Thanks! Freddie

Hi all,

I've recorded a video using a digital camcorder, but am now struggling to play the file. It's a .mov file, but when I try to play the file in Quicktime, whilst the audio is fine, the video jumps around and has occasional green frames. The file has the same problem in VLC, and in Adobe Elements. But when I play the file in Windows Media Player, it's completely fine.

Any ideas on how I might fix the problem? Would converting the file to a different format fix it, or would it just preserve the problem? Obviously the file itself must in some sense be fine, since it plays ok in WMP.

The eventual goal is to edit the file in Adobe Elements and upload it to the web, if it matters. Unfortunately, I don't know the make of the recorder (I *might* be able to find out if it's crucial). File info follows below:

Hi Everyone,

I would like to make videos from still photos with a music soundtrack. I've tried PhotoFilmStrip (which is good but not quite the effect I want) and Windows Live Movie Maker (which keeps freezing up).

Could someone please have a look at this YouTube video and let me know what kind of software I would need to make a movie like this:

An Office With a View - Truck Driving - YouTube

Thanks a million!

I hope this is the right place to post, but was wondering if it were possible to record a video and have the first few frames capture the background, and use them to cut out the background when I go to stand in front of the camera. As the video changes by moving in front of the camera or anything that the camera captures that is different from the background, I would think that it would be possible to cut out the background since the background itself is not moving. I'm not sure if I'm being clear enough, but I hope I am.

If anybody knows if this is possible with any particular video editing software, let me know. I use Cyberlink Powerdirector in particular if anybody is familiar with that.

Hello everyone,

I have looked around theses forums a bit and I have not yet seen an answer to the question I have, so I have created this post.

I hope I posted this in the correct area, and that someone might be able to help me with an issue I am having.

I have 3 diffrent cameras, these cameras all see in different spectrum, I have a UV camera, an IR camera and an HD Camera that sees visible light.

All three Cameras are mounted on a fixed plate and face the same direction and are focused at the same subject.

I wish to take the video output of all three cameras, and overlay them onto each other so that I have a single image on a single monitor in real time.

Has this been done before? Can this be done? Does anyone have any suggestions? (Polite suggestions only please)

Thanks to all of you in advance,
