As the title suggests, I'm new. So, play nice with any stupid questions I might ask!

Ok, first question...

Just how much can you fit onto an 80mm single sided, single layer DVD?

I know how much in terms of memory size (a little under 1.5 gig, yes?).

The real question is, I'm researching a project that would be a multimedia DVD, containing video footage that would play in a normal DVD player as well as some interactive content that would be accessible when the disc is ran on a PC.

Now, assuming that the actual video content was encoded at the same quality level that would apply when using a normal DVD recorder set on 'long play' (the setting that would normally give you 6 hrs on a standard DVD5 +R)... *roughly*... how much data space might I have left to play with for the additional interactive content when the DVD is placed in a PC?

Forgive me if this is one of those 'how long is a piece if string' questions.
