Default Poor quality DVDs

Hello there - I've made a short film that looks fine as an AVI but when I burn it to disk using Ulead DVD Workshop 2 the quality is not very good. There's lines through the footage during any movement. I'm really puzzled and can't seem to find out why. I've not changed any of the settings and things used to work fine.

Could it be the DVDs I'm using? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hi Crusty - thanks for the link. I'm importing avi files into Workshop so it is encoding them to mpeg2 for the first time. I'm starting to wonder if it is someting to do with the camera because it only happens with one particular one. Mind you, the avi files look absolutely fine before they are burned to DVD.

Any more advise would be great because it's really starting to bother me as I've got lots of work to complete.

cheers
