Default Which firewire cable? help needed

I am looking to transfer video from a Canon miniDV camcorder to my PC. My camcorder only accepts a 5 pin, but i can't find a firewire to 5pin cable. All i see is USB2.0 to 5 pin cables. Would that work? can anyone tell me where i could find a cable? thanks a lot

Are you absolutely certain that 5 pin jack is firewire and not S-VIDEO?

Check your Canon camera manual. The firewire port is usually hidden behind a plastic sealing plug to keep any dirt or dust out. I've never heard of a round five pin for firewire, only rectangular 4, 6 and 12 pin.
