Editing files from DVD, then converting to a Web format
Hello - a client of mine took footage with his video camera during a wine tour we organized in France, and then edited it and added music to it, and sent me a DVD with the result. He used a Macintosh computer to do the editing and final version (I have a PC). When I look on the DVD, I see .VOB files, .BUP files and .IFO files in a folder called VIDEO_TS, and then there's also a folder called AUDIO_TS that doesn't seem to have any files in it. I would like to edit a few minutes out from his DVD and turn it into a file that I could put up on our web site (with his permission, of course) for visitors to view. So the question is this: is it possible to edit from a DVD as I have described, what software do I need to do so, and then what software do I need to turn it into a video (with audio, hopefully) file that I could put up on my site (and what file format would be preferable for the Web so it doesn't take too long to load)? Thanks!
