DVD Plays on wide screen at 1/3 of the screen size

Hi,

I have a movie which was downloaded off the internet. I burnt it to a disc using InterVideo WinDVD Creator and when it plays on my widescreen TV it is very skinny. Even when I change the arc to the different ratios the best I can get is 1/3 of the screen. Any ideas?
