Default dvd speed is off

So i've made a couple of dvds from videos i've made. They play fine on my computer, and they play fine on my dvd player(it's a sony no more than a year old), but for some reason when other people try to view my dvd's on their players, the speed is messed up. It plays slightly faster than it should. The sound is still in sync with the video, but it all just plays like it is in fast forward. Does this have to do with my encoding software......my dvd burning program settings? My premiere project settings? I don't know where to start.
