Default Creating back-up DVD

How can I create a back-up DVD by taking two different movies from two different DVD discs so that the newly created DVD will be menu-based and the sub-titles of the initial DVD movies will remain intact? Please mention if there is any free/commercial software available.

doing this is not a easy 1 click process btw

you need to know a lot more background information to be able to do this properly, ripping of video, audio, subtitles seperateley.

Then recompress the video files to a lower bitrate, then making menu,s the hardwast part.

The hardest part being actually having the software. The software for everything but the authoring program is pretty easy to get free.

As for the authoring program i would honestly suggest either 2 of these software.
ReelDVD sells for $5000 dollars
or
Sonics Scenarist, which is what hollywood studio's use which sells for $26000 dollars

Only reason i suggest these above anything else is because u want subtitles within it

I mean im sure it can be done with adobe encore but i wouldnt use it. Not into the whole point and click with no control way. I mean if your gonna do it do it right,

so good luck

A lot of DVD Backup software allows you to do combine multiple DVDs into one. Nero Recode (bundled with Nero 7), does this in about 2 or 3 clicks.

I'm sure karmatized has access to the software at school / uni etc. Just pointing out that expensive software isn't always the best software for beginner.
