Default VTS, to anything

Ok slap me with a wet fish if i am being thick but here we go.

my mate done some filming for me on a sony dvd cam, the cam has no dv out and only has usb.
Pinnacle will not even say the cam is there.
so what we have done it to put the dvd into the pc and copied the file over (they are VTS) but now wew can not get any prog to edit them, i use Pinnacle studio 9 and wish to use this wit it, but i have also tried my Adode prem 6 with no luck....any ideas.

Check out section 10 (the first one - there are two for some reason ) about editing MPEG files (becase that's what DVD files are) and it should get you on your way to be able to do something with your footage. Hope it works for you!
