Default Encore DVD problem with menu's

Can anyone help with this?
I have some holiday footage imported from perm pro.
I have placed 9 chapter points in it with encore.
I have created a menu with nine buttons (one for each chapter)
Clicking each button plays the correct chapter point ok, but what I want to happen is that after the chapter has played, is to return to the menu (this is what I can't work out)
It may be further complicated by the fact I want a "play all" button as well that does what it says.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Oops Mustava!

The DVD standard does not support what you are trying to do. All you have available is to start a timeline at a particular chapter point. The timeline will ALWAYS play to the end unless th euser presses the menu button.

Your best option is to export each 'chapter' as a different asset, import the set and create a timeline in Encore for each clip. You then have the control you want.

Do not be tempted to create upteen timelines in Encore for the same asset and clip the start/end points. You will end up (I think) incluiding the full asset on your DVD for each use rather than just include it once.

You can do this in Encore 1.5 with end action overrides. Go to the help menu in Encore and follow for an explaination.:

Content --> Creating and Managing Links --> Understanding project navigation --> Understanding end action overrides
