I´m making a friend of mine a little DVD with the ten first episodes of the TV series Lost.

My vision of the menu is the following: then short pieces of text saying "Episode one", "Episode two", and so on scattered on the screen. What I would like to learn is how to make all the pieces of text, except for the one chosen with the remote controller, have an opacity of, say, 30%. Then the chosen text would have an opacity of 100%. Opacity would change as you scroll though the pieces of text (=buttons).

I´ve been studying subpictures, think doing this opacity thing has got something to do with them?

What software?

If you read the tutorials on cfreating menu's in Photoshop (there should be one in the encore documentation) it will help you design your menu in Photoshop so it will do what you want.

Hmm, i don´t own Photoshop :( Just Video collection 2.5.
I´ve went though the Help file in Encore, but I´ll have another look online.
