I've looked around the forum a little but I haven't found a freeware program for converting pal to ntsc (or even shareware) that leaves it as an avi or mpg file.

can anyone offer a suggestion?

I've never tried it but google DGPulldown and see if that's what you're looking for. It's freeware as well.

Most are neither Freeware nor shareware though. :cry: Perhaps a trial version of Tmpgenc/ Express would do a better job for free ( during the trial period)!
