0 Videos nominated Video Of the Month(s): 0 | | Getting video to edit from internal DVD player in computer
Howdy! (first post, so bear with me.)
We have just started recording our church service directly from camera to Sony DirectDVD recorder. Now I want import and to edit that raw master video in WinDVD Creator2 without having to run it through the ConvertX input device. I'm having trouble figuring out how to use my computer's internal DVD player to get video files that I can edit.
I have DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink 3.2 if that helps. I also have MGI VideoWave 4.
I probably left something out, but that's the gist of what I'm trying to do.
I appreciate any help. Is there a tutorial available for doing this procedure?
Thanks!
Chaz

Hi!
Have a look here: http://www.videoforums.co.uk/guide-faq-90.htm#9
Gives a bit of an explanation as to what you need to do.
Have fun!

0 Videos nominated Video Of the Month(s): 0 | | Virtual dub not finding VOB files
Thanks for the quick replay and the useful link.
I followed the directions: installed the panasonic codec, installed the Virtual Dub program, copied the VOB files to the hard drive, then ran Virtual Dub. I clicked on File>open video file, but VirtDub didn't see (or have an option to open) VOB files.
Any suggestions?
Thanks again,
Chaz

Well, I use XMPEG which is freeware and really kicks ass. Small, decent interface, not hungry on resources etc. The latest version is 5.2 beta. Follow this link: http://www.mp3guest.com/xmpeg_index.asp
Cheers!
