what (in your opinion) is a really good but basic or intermediate program to use to make dvd menus? at the moment i use sony dvd architect 2 which is quite good
oh yea, btw, i need one for xp os

why not have a try to "Inalbum",so far as I know, it's a powerful windows application, you can get a trial via: http://www.mediasoftzone.com/Graphic...k-factory.html
the deluxe edition can build DVD menu as you want.
