Default output to cd-r

sorry, newbie here.

I am creating small videos using InterVideo WinDVD Creator 2. The total size of the video is only ~500mb. I tried burning CD-R in VCD, SVCD, DVD on CD....all of which will not play on my standalone player. Do I have to use a DVD-R in order for it to play??? Seems like a waste of a lot of space for such a small file.

Thanks for any and all comments.

Jim

Some players can't play VCDs. If you're lucky, you might be able to find somewhere that does an unlocking code. I think that's how I got mine to play VCDs, though I may be getting confused. Do a google search for the word "unlock" or "vcd" (or something like that) and your dvd player model number and see what it comes up with.
