Default dvd encoding

Hello,

I am lost when it comes to dvd encoding. I am searching for a duplication house which will make replication copies, a couple thousand, of a documentary I have produced for sale. I found a dup house on the east cost which uses sonic-sd-2000. I found another place closer to where I am and much less expensive which says it uses-apple quicktime encoding? I am wondering what I need to look for from an encoder to get the best possible image quality from the dvd's? Any suggestions? Thanks a lot..

Jordan

You should really be doing the encoding yourself, or whoever's doing the authoring. I wouldn't imagine any decent duplication business would bother with the actual creating the master, they'd just dupe them.

It's all down to the bitrate really... the higher the bitrate the higher the quality.
