Hi,

I'm new to this Forum, and I'm glad I ran into it after doing extensive search on the web. This is the first time I try to use Nero for other than burning music.
I found this article here: http://www.digital-director.co.uk/guide-nero-75.htm , followed the instructions. First step was to encode with TMPGenc (avi to mpeg). The burning process seemed to go OK. I tried the CD in my PC and in my DVD player, unsuccessfully. I check the disk with windows exlorer, and it doesn't show signs of containing any video file whatsoever. So I'm wondering what part did I get wrong? Steps seem pretty simple, and I think I followed them from A to Z. I actually damaged two disks with no possitive results.
Any ideas what could go wrong ?

FYI. I used regular CD-R and also when I dragged the mpeg file I placed it outside any of the folders that appear on the screen.

If it didn't work in the pc, you've done something wrong.

As for the standalone, some won't play vcd/svcd/*R.

If you've made a vcd, it won't be a video file, there will be a .dat file in one of the folders. that's your video file.
