mpeg2 resizing/shrinking for DVD

Same prob., new scenario. Have a 1:45 mpeg2 movie. Size when viewing properties shows actual as just over 4.2gb. I've come to know
about the 4.3gb limit on a 4.7g DVD disk. So why is Showbiz editor and
then Roxio DVD program informing me that the burn needs well over
5gb to process?? I'm doing no special editing (ok , just said yes to chapters every 10 mins).
