Default Sony DVD Architect Studio 2.0: recompresses menu video?

Sup yall? Anyway, I'm trying to add a video to the background of the main menu screen of my dvd. Well DVD Architect will always "recompress" it no matter what I do and it looks like crap after it gets "recompressed." I looked in the help menus and it says:

A menu's video will not be recompressed if it meets the following requirements:

1 Any background video must match the Project video format setting.

2 No graphics can be added to the menu.

3 Buttons must use highlighting only. Using button thumbnails or text will require recompression.
Now I'm pretty sure I meet all these requirements (although the way number 3 is worded doesn't really make sense? No thumbnails or text?! What? Is it supposed to be invisible?!)

Anyway what am I doing wrong???

Hi.
I have just completed a DVD showreel for five bands, and authored in DVD A 2. My main menu page has a video background, 5 moving thumbnail graphics (one for each band) and five titles, each with different fonts, shadows and the like. The background video is MPEG2 and does not get recompressed. Neither do the thumbs as they are too. (Slow motion versions of the content) The only recompression that I get is the audio, and I get no loss of quality at all.
So I dont really have a clue why you`re getting that problem except, Is everything MPEG2?
