Default Which is the best format?

Which is the best format? Looking for something that will play both on dvd and computer. I created a disk using mpeg2 dvd ntsc already and it's playback is real jumpy or slow on dvd player. My choices in Dazzle are avi, dv-avi pal, dv-avi ntsc, mpeg1 vcd pal, mpeg1 vcd ntsc, mpeg2 s-vcd pal, mpeg2 s-vcd ntsc, mpeg2 dvd pal, & mpeg2 dvd ntsc. Thanks for your help!

Most older DVD players have a real problem playing Burned DVDs.
They play store baught DVDs just fine, but home made movie will jump
and skip a lot of the times.
make sure you player is compatable with DVD+R/-R

" I have said that a time or 2"

mpeg2 dvd pal, assuming you're in the uk, obviously. Burn to dvd-r, more players tend to like it. Some will like dvd+r though, it's hit and miss really.
