DVDA4.5 too slow burning

Hi everyone : I have a problem with dvda4.5 burning a 3.5 gb video on a dvd , it takes more than 9 hours to burn it and in sometimes it not complete the burning.Why it takes so long time to burn a dvd ? Are someone having the same problem. I have a P4 3.4 with an nvidia graphics card of more than 500 mb.
