Author sound as Ac3

I used to use Nero Vision Express (part of Nero 6) to author my product to DVD. It rendered the sound in AC3, which seems to work on all machines.
Unfortunately I have Vista on my new pc & that program is incompatable & won't work properly.
So I got Nero 8. This is similar, but encodes sound as Mpeg 1, not AC3 which is the whole reason I got it.
What vista compatable authoring software encodes the sound to mp3?
